Camplus Bernini Casa per Ferie

The room is very spacious, quiet and very clean with a huge comfortable bed and a mini fridge. There is no kettle or coffee machine but there is a drinks area in the restaurant downstairs. I only used the free water dispenser (1 complimentary carton is provided in the fridge). The bathroom is a good size, has a nice rain shower and the shower gel/shampoo smells lovely. There is a garden with seating areas and the restaurant also doubles as an area to hang out in outside meal times - mostly by the students. The staff at reception are very nice and you can leave your suitcase with them on check out. The hotel is barely 5 minutes walk from Bernini Metro station or 15 mins walk from Porta Susa main train station with various supermarkets nearby. I felt safe walking alone in the area late at night. It is excellent value for money and I would very happily return.

It is an old catholic structure (originally a nuns monastery, suore missionarie della Consolata), occupying the entire block, well renovated with modern touches (elevators, magnetic card for opening doors, smart TV, key card to activate electricity lights and AC). It offers 24/7 reception, though you can enter the external door and your room with your room key card. It now hosts 70% University students and 30% hotel rooms. It offers beds with good mattresses for excellent sleep 💤 . Very well cleaned. Easy to access location, not far from train station Porta Susa. Very quiet as all rooms open on an internal courtyard with a tiny garden and chairs/tables. Smart TV with wake up alarm. Good shower gel products. Our triple room on the second floor had 2 lavabos and hairdryer. Breakfast with good variety (cereals, croissants of many types) and the unusual (for Italy) scrambled eggs and bacon, cold cuts and cheeses. Excellent coffee prepared by two kind ladies.

The inner garden is a really pleasant, peaceful place to relax in. I liked the whole building, actually - it’s spacious, with common areas that are great for studying or work, and the rooms themselves are well equipped and clean. I liked the breakfast, too. The staff is nice, and they have a ready list of recommendations for eating out. Good location, walking distance drom Porta Susa.

The room was in a modern student campus, just a few metro stations away from the main train station, Torino Porta Nuova. It was very clean and well-equipped, with essential furniture that provided everything I needed to rest after a long day. Breakfast was simple but sufficient to start the day. The staff was courteous and efficient. There are several excellent restaurants and bars for aperitivo, lunch, and dinner just minutes away from the campus. The neighbourhood is safe and vibrant, with many students around.

An interesting place. It appears to combine student accommodation and an hotel. This might be why the price is as good as will be found anywhere for what is in fact a very good level of accommodation.
